Service catalog management is the service offering management of the service catalog capability.
The purpose of service catalog management is to enable and assure the management and abilities of the service catalog capabilities are controlled, balanced and aligned to the mission and needs of the enterprise as a whole.
Service Catalog Management Responsibilities
The service manager role is responsible for service catalog management of the service catalog capability.
Service catalog management work products include service catalog management ideas, requirements, plans, risks, opportunities, reviews, decisions and action items.
Service Catalog Architecture
The service catalog architecture is the service offering architecture of service catalog management of the service catalog capability.
The service manager role uses the service catalog architecture to support service catalog management responsibilities and activities.
The purpose of the service catalog architecture is to provide a management structure to enable and assure the service catalog capability of the enterprise is controlled, balanced and aligned to the mission and needs of the enterprise as a whole.
The structure includes technology services, information technology services and non-technology services.
Service Catalog Architecture Responsibilities
The service architect role is responsible for architecting the service catalog architecture in support of the service catalog management responsibilities of the service manager role.
Service catalog architecture work products include service catalog architecture concepts, descriptions, models, views, viewpoints, specifications and analyses. Specific examples are service design and analysis documentation, service catalogs, supplier agreements, test models, and predicted performance SKMS.
Service Catalog Team
As shown in Figure 82 – Service Catalog Team Concept, service catalog is interconnected with and interdependent on organization and integration, talent, roles, data, configurations, records, information utilization and system products.
