IT Management Architecture
The IT management architecture is the IT architecture of IT management of the IT management capability.
The IT manager role uses the IT management architecture to support IT management responsibilities and activities.
The purpose of the IT management architecture is to provide a management structure to enable and assure IT management capability of the enterprise is controlled, balanced and aligned to the mission and needs of the enterprise as a whole.
The structure includes application management, infrastructure management, server management, storage management, network management, security management, and IT supplier management.
IT Management Architecture Responsibilities
The IT architect role is responsible for architecting the IT management architecture in support of the IT management responsibilities of the IT manager role.
IT management architecture work products include IT management architecture concepts, descriptions, models, views, viewpoints, specifications and analyses.
As shown in Figure 71 – IT Management Team Concept, the IT management is interconnected with and interdependent on enterprise management and integration, business management, process management, information management, system management and service management.
